The Vermont Brewers Festival

Celebrating Artisan Craft Beers & The Brewers Who Brew Them.

We are truly fortunate that Vermont is home to to a large population of artisanal food and beverage producers. The results are unofficial, but according to a report printed in the Brooklyn Growler, Vermont has the most breweries per capita in the United States. (Just add it to the bragging rights, we are also winning in the cheese department.)

This year, the 20th anniversary of of the Brewers Festival, there will 25 Vermont breweries participating in addition to brewers from neighboring Canada, New Hampshire and New York, as well as Massachusetts and Rhode Island - see the list here. In addition to the beers there will be local delicacies to sample. Highlights of the event include lectures on beer & cheese pairing and beer & chocolate paring. And, in celebration of the 20th anniversary, several Vermont brewers have partnered with other regional craft brewers to create one-of-a-kind beers to be premiered at the Festival.

July 20 & 21, 2012 in Burlington's Waterfront Park. More information here, tickets for sale on the Festival website here. Hosted by the Vermont Brewers Association.
