The British Invasion - Stowe, Vermont

Motor car enthusiasts, mark your calendars: September 14th - 16th Stowe hosts The British Invasion - North America's largest British Classic Sports Car and Motorcycle Event. This event is "a Three Day Celebration and Salutation to the Great British Motorcar and all manner of other things British."

According to legend, the British Invasion began in 1990 "over a pint of ale" in Stowe, Vermont. It's a British and American tradition that's lasted over 20 years.  Experience British cultural activities, shops, crafts and, of course, the cars.

Over sixty classes of motorcars compete, everything from humble Mini Coopers to stately Rolls Royces. The participants are mostly from the US and Canada with over 650 cars on field.

There are two primary car shows at the British Invasion: People's Choice and the Concours d'Elegance. The Concours d’Elegance is designed to select motorcars that come closest to how they would have been when new.
